What Is Athlete Testing and Assessment?

Athlete testing and assessment refers to the process of identifying objective performance measures such as strength, power, and stability. It provides a comprehensive picture of an athlete's current performance level, identifying areas for improvement, and informing training prescription; ensuring the needs of the athlete are optimally met.

Why is it Important?

There are numerous reasons for testing and assessing athletes on top of identifying current performance and areas for improvement. These include highlighting injury risk, study the effectiveness of a training program, determining performance during/after a rehabilitation program, and motivation to train harder.
